This is both from a professional perspective as an artist, and on a personal level as a Scot who, due to economic pressures, both grew up outside of, and again as an adult had to leave, Scotland. I love experimenting with the medium of screenprinting to see how different effects on the page can communicate an idea or open up a discussion. My practice involves spending many a happy hour at the studio. When I’m not making things, I love watching films and tv. I like to think about the ideas put forward through the stories they tell, and what techniques are used to persuade us of those ideas.
